As a director and producer he has received about 200 awards at international film festivals. He is the CEO of the Portuguese Film Academy, national coordinator of INPUT-TV and co-editor of the International Journal of Cinema, among other organizations.
Korina Kontaxaki is a professional actress, theatre director and writer. She studied acting and directing in Athens before moving to Cyprus, her current base. Her theatre company “Theatro Transcendental” has created award winning productions such as “Love Lies” (Best Music, nominated for Best Play) and ‘Pio Soma’ (Best Actor, nominated for Best Actress and Best Script). Her productions have also been performed in Greece and the UK. She has acted in several award-winning short films with “Blunatic productions”.
She has lived and has been trained in India as a Yoga and Meditation Master and Ayurvedic counselor. Alongside her theatre projects, she runs a successful Yoga, meditation and philosophy center named “Yogalife Cyprus”.
Katia Pantazi is working as a freelance production manager and festival agent since 2008 and has been involved in various projects with Greek and international production
companies. She is a film curator at Delhi International Film Festival since 2013 and a partner of Kimolos IFF and Athens International Food Film Festival. She was a jury
member at Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival and The
Human Rights Film Festival of Madrid.
“Unknown Land” is her first feature film as a production manager. It has participated in international film festivals and won several awards. Currently, she has completed the documentary feature “Invisible World”, the shootings of which took place in Tibet, Mongolia, Russia, Israel, Palestine, Greece, Italy, Vatican City and Nepal.
Aristotelis Metaxas is a renowned cinematographer based in Athens and working for the National TV of Greece. Born and raised in Corfu Island, from an early age he developed a passion and understanding for natural light. In 1982 he started his career as a cinematographer. Since then, Aristotelis Metaxas has shot several feature and short films, documentaries, corporate videos, music videos etc.
Nia Foes will host the 4th Kimolos International Film Festival.
Nia Foes is Greek-Ecuadorian, born in Saudi Arabia with a Spanish heritage from her mother. She has travelled in many countries doing multiple projects. She has a degree in Business Management and in Theatre Arts (California). She has also studied several alternative healing approaches. She has been awarded for her work by the Steven Kent Institute and by Unesco of Greece. She is an activist and personal coach while teaching perception and strategic thinking.
